Race Venue 



Registration and General Enquires located at Severn Vale Sports Centre School Lane, Quedgeley Gloucester. GL2 4PR between7.30am to 08.45am Your race Pack with your running number and chip will be sent to you 10 days prior to the race



Anyone who has lost there race number and chip for the Gloucester 50K Run or did not receive there race pack in the post will need to go to the help desk at registration and general enquires on the day of the race between 7.30am to 08.45am

The Gloucester 50K Run as been granted a Gold Label by International Association of ultrarunners operating under the partronge of the IAAF for the Sport of Athletics.This is based on performances in the Mens and Womens races over the last three years.

We welcome all runners to take part in the Gloucester 50K Run what every your ability.

The course 95% Traffic Free. There is a new Start and Finish location. The race finishes 100 metres from race HQ.The course goes straight out and back from the main loop of the course in a different direction to previous years.



Withdraw Policy

Age

Runners must be 20 Years of age on the day of the race



Time Limit

There is a strict 6 Hours -15 minutes



Baggage

Baggage can be handed in to our baggage vehicle which will be just behind the Start line which will be taken back to Race HQ at Severn Vale Sports Centre by our event staff which you can collect after the race.

There will be a member of the Event staff  with your baggage at all times..



Race Briefing

This will take place at the T Junction Green Lane where you turn right into Bristol Road B4008 on a grass area right of the junction at 9.10am



The Race Start is at 09.20am on Bristol Road B4008 heading out of Hardwicke 2K from Race HQ . (Please allow enough time to get to the start of the Gloucester 50K)



The course is flat and fast if you’re looking for a personal best time.

Feeding Station

This will be situated every 5K there will be water and at every other feed station High 5.



There is a feeding Station at the finish there will be High 5 and bottled water available to all competitors.



The Finish is on the road in School Lane which is just before the 1st entrance left  into Severnvale School  which is 100 metres from Race HQ.



Medals / long SleeveTech T-Shirt

All Finishers will receive a specially designed medal at the Finish. You will need to collect your long sleeve Tech-T Shirt in the Sports Hall after you have finished the race.NO long Sleeve Tech T Shirt will be sent out to runners at there address



The Course

The course is out and back then.5 laps of the main loop  of 9,470kms and then to the finish. The course will have a  UK Athletics Certificate of Course Accuracy and a UK Athletics licence



Medical Support

First Aid and emergency cover is provided by Local Medical Services. There will be Staff on duty on the course and first Aid station at the Finish.



Changing rooms / Showers

There are changing rooms and hot showers available to competitors



Results

These will be on the Website http://Gloucestermarathon.co.uk  as soon as you have finished the race.



Refreshments

Refreshments will be available outside Severn Vale Sports Hall Race HQ Tea, coffee, Soft drinks, and hot food



Prizes

The prizes are as follows first three Individuals Men/Women First Female Vet 0/40 and Male Vet 0/40 and then in the subsequent 10 year age up to 80 years of age

If any runner over 85 years of age finishes the race they will receive an award



No Competitor will be able to win two prizes: If a veteran athlete finishes in the first three individual positions overall Men & Women they will receive the individual prize. You must collect your prize on the day of the race. No prizes will be sent out to you at your address.



Presentation



The prize giving will take place in the Sports Hall at approximately 1.30pm. If you are unable to be at the prize giving. Please go and see Anne or Sandra in the Sports Hall at Race HQ. So you can collect your prize.

Postponement/Cancellation

In the unfortunate postponement of the event it will be organised at the earliest possible date.



There will be no refunds but we have provided Event Protect Insurance free of charge for every one who as entered this race. Please read section below Event Protect Insurance.This insurance does not cover COVID-19.

You must enter the race through our agent Race Nation to obtain free Insurance Cover



In the event of the race being postponed we will email you with the new date of the race also details will be put on the website http://gloucestermarathon.co.uk 

If the race is cancelled and Allianz Insurance does not cover you for the event.We will offer you a free entry to any of our races up to the 31st December 2021.
