Race Venue
Race HQ Registration and General Enquiries are located within Robin Greaves Sports Hall, Quedgeley Wanderers Football Club, Stephenson Drive, Quedgeley, Gloucester. GL2 2AG. Your race number and chip is to be collected on the day. Please allow enough time to collect your race number and chip.
Withdraw Policy
Please note we have a withdraw policy which is on our website. Please read this policy before you enter the race.
Start Time
The start time for the 10k wheelchair competitors is 10am on Davey Way. The start time for the Gloucester Road Race is 10:10am on Davey way.
Direction Signs to the Race Start - There will be yellow signs with black arrows to direct you from race HQ to Davey Way assemble area for the race. This is 1.5kms from race registration. Please allow enough time to get to Davy Way for 09:50am.
The Course
The course has a UKA Certificate of Course Accuracy. The course is 2 laps. First lap 7.3kms, the second lap 8.7kms which is mainly flat scenic route with a few inclines. The Gloucester 10K Run was won in 29mins-44sec on the same course route. The real beauty of this challenge this event is for runners of all abilities charity, recreation runners, Club Runners and Elite Athletes and gives participants the chance to try for a personal best time before the end of the year on a scenic rural route The Finish is in Brunel Court 200 metres away from Race HQ Robin Greaves, Sports Hall. Road Closures
Due to the fact we have had to employ a Highways Management Company to put road closures in on part of the new course route this has necessitated an increase on last year’s entry fee
Please allow enough time when you collected your race number and chip from race registration to get to the race assemble point on Davy Way by 09:50am. Its 1.5kms from Race HQ to Davy Way.
Race Number
You must complete the information required on the back of your race number including any medical details .This must be completed under all circumstance.
Your running number must be on the front of your vest or jacket and pinned in each corner and can be clearly seen by marshal’s race officials and when you cross the finishing line
Race Briefing
Please read all the race information provided within this race information thoroughly you will take full responsibility if you have not read all the details in this document. Please do not complain to the race organiser’s if you have not read all the detail information of the Gloucester 10 Mile Road Race (There will be no race briefing prior to the race)

Baggage
There is a baggage area for all competitors to put their baggage into a van in the assemble area on Davey Way. Once the race starts your baggage will be taken to Race HQ. You can hand your bagging in just before the start of the race. There will be personnel from the Royal British Legion Hardwicke Branch Gloucester with your baggage for the duration of the race.
Age Limit 17 Years of age on race day
Time Limit
The organisers have imposed a strict 2 hours-15 minutes Time limit and at 12.25pm the marshalling will progressively be removed from the course in accordance of the time limit.

Personal and Medical details
Has a condition of entry to this event you are required to complete your personal and medical details in the boxes on the back of your race number. You also agree that these may be made available, along with any other personal details to the event organisers and the relevant medical race services. In the event of an emergency part of the event terms and conditions are that you agree to supply your contact details to these bodies. By displaying your number you are agreeing to the terms and conditions of this event. Your next of kin/emergency contact should be someone who will be contactable on the day of this event.
In the interest of your own safety and that of your fellow runners you will not be allowed to run wearing an MP3 player or portable audio device (iPod or similar) and you will be disqualified. The roads will not be closed to traffic and you will not be fully aware of traffic and around you. Neither will you hear instructions from marshals or the police.
For reasons of health and safety your number must not be transferred to another person. Doing so without the permission of the event organisers will result in disqualification.

Presentation of Awards
This will take place Robin Greaves Sports Hall, Quedgeley Wanderers Football Club, Stephenson Drive, Quedgeley, Gloucester. GL2 2AG at 12 Noon
Prizes
1st three Individuals Men/Women 1st Female Vet 40 1st Male Vet 40 and then in the subsequent 10 year age groups up to 80 years of age. Please note an athlete can only win one prize. If a veteran athlete finishes in the first three positions they will receive the Individual prize.
The 1st three individuals men/women wheelchair competitors.
There will be a Medal given to all Finishers
Refreshments
There will be refreshments available prior to the Start of the race from 8am onwards outside race HQ in the car park Robin Greaves Sports Hall and after the Finish at the same location.
Results - After the race will be put up on the wall to the side of race Presentation in Robin Greaves Sports Hall.

Postponement Extreme Weather Conditions
In the unfortunate postponement of the event through circumstances beyond the control of the race organisers there will be no refunds but the race will be organised at the earliest date. There is free insurance provided by the event organisers (up to the closing date through RaceNation) of entry prior to race day or when the event is closed for entries has the race limit has been reached.
