City of Gloucester 10K Run Scenic City 10K 

Welcome to the City of Gloucester 10K Run in the beautiful and historic City of Gloucester, in the South West of England. The City of Gloucester 10K will be held over a new route going through the city centre and close to Gloucester historic cathedral on Sunday 5th April 2020. The real beauty of this challenge and although this event is for runners of all abilities Charity, recreation runners, Club runners and Elite athletes. The course is flat and fast and gives participants the chance to try for a personal best time whilst enjoying a spectacular sightseeing tour. The City 10K gives a perfect excuse for friends and family to cheer runners on. This is an opportunity enjoy some refreshments after the race in a cafe or bar in Gloucester or visit the famous Gloucester Quays shopping centre.

This event is to focus on heathy life style getting Individuals to take part in sport and encourage these individuals to take part in the 10K or Children and Family 2K Run

The Team challenge is open to all abilities and aims to bring people together for a sense of team spirit and to enjoy our fun in the City of Gloucester 10K on Sunday 5th April 2020.

For our Corporate Team Challenge, it is a chance to bring work colleagues together for team building and strengthening friendships as well as encouraging a little competitive spirit. We hope to see all the corporate teams from the event in 2019 return for more friendly competition and team spirit and we welcome more teams to join in the fun.

The corporate team entry will gain you entry for a team of 4 runners 3 to score in to the event. Your chance to compete for the winner’s trophy.

The cost per Corporate Team is £100.00 *Please note that a small admin fee is charged on top of your registration. This fee is non-refundable.

Event Protect Insurance cover is included within your entry fee for this race. For further information of the cover being provided through Allianz Insurance.

The City of Gloucester 10K and 2K Children and Family Run is an official Member of the Event Protect Programme – the industry standard in event cancellation protection. If this event is cancelled / postponed / abandoned / curtailed due to an unforeseen circumstance covered by the Event Protect policy, you may be entitled to a full or partial refund of your transaction costs. The Route

The course is Traffic Fee The route is two large laps which is on a flat and fast course and gives participants the chance to try for a personal best time. The finish is in Gloucester Park via Spa Road. We have a Highways Management Contractors to undertake the road closure for the City of Gloucester 10k which as necessitate the entry fee.



Timing

We have employed FR Systems to undertake the chip timing for the race. Your race number and chip will be in your race pack. This company who is employed to undertaken the result service for the City of Gloucester 10K provide their services to UK Athletics for the British Cross Country Championships all age groups and the National England Cross Country Championships all age groups and major road races throughout the UK. Has soon as you have finished your race within 5 minutes the results will be available on our Website. Your race pack including your race number and chip will be sent out in the post 10 days prior to the race. If you have changed your address since you entered the race please notify us at least three weeks prior to the event.

Once the first Veteran Category have finished they will be awarded there Individual Category prizes,

If a Veteran athlete Men and Women finishes in the first three Individual positions they will be awarded the Individual prize. No Athlete can win two prizes in the open race. Any athlete who wins a prize it must be collected on the day of the race. The prize will not be sent out in the post.

Presentation of Awards

The first three individuals under 11 years of Age - under 13 years of Age and under 15 years of Age boys and girls will receive prizes.

This will take place in the finish location as soon as the first under 11 years of age, under 13 years of age, and under 15 years of age and Adult and  Family Run have finished the 2k & 3K Runs. Once the first three wheelchair entrants / individual men and women and first three individual men and woman in the 10k open race have finished they will be award their prizes as soon as possible after they have finished.



Once the first Veteran Category 0/40, 0/50, 0/60, 0/70, 0/80 have finished they will be awarded there Individual Category prizes,

Closing date

Thursday 2nd April  2020 at 12 Noon unless race limit is reached 5000 participants which is every reached the first. There will be enters on the day if the race limit is not reached.
