Global Dhamma Chakra Pravartan Run - 2020

13.1 Distance Challenge – Starts on  9th October 2020. To complete this event you can run, jog or walk the distance in one go or in several segments up to the event closing on  31st October at 23:59pm and after verification you’ll receive your Dhamma Chakra Pravartan Run medal in the post. 

All the contribution collected for this event will be donated to North London Buddha Vihara.

Instructions on how to take part: 

  1. When taking part in any of our challenges it is vital you stay Covid safe and follow the UK government guidelines or those relevant to your country if you are taking part outside the UK.
  2. Entering and participating in this event is entirely at your own risk. By entering online, you the participant are immediately agreeing to this disclaimer.
    Participants acknowledge that we the event organiser will not be liable for any death, injury, loss or damage arising from participating in this event.
    You the participant confirm that you are medically fit to participate.

  3. You don't have to do the 13.1 miles all in one attempt. You can do it in parts over several days, all in one go, or more than 13.1 miles, it's up to you. To complete the challenge you just need to have logged 13.1 miles during the 9th to the 31st  October. 
  4. Tracking - This event uses Strava or a Manual Submission only to track your distance. You can use a running watch or your smart phone to record your distance. Or if you don't have tracking device but know a set distance (such as a parkrun course which is 3.1 miles/5k as an example) you can work out your distance and upload manually..

  7. If uploading manually you will need to add your latest run to the total stored as it's cumulative and holds the results for your last upload. 
  8. At the end of the challenge all entries are verified and all those who have completed the 13.1 miles will have their medal posted to them.The medal delivery will take 2-4 weeks.
