The Old Harry Ultra is a 55km Ultra Marathon for solo runners, walkers and relay teams, with ALL PROFITS going to the Julia's House Children's Hospice Charity.
The multi-terrain route takes you all the way around the spectacular Poole Harbour (Europe's largest natural Harbour), taking in sights such as the historic Poole Quay, Holes Bay nature reserve, Upton Country Park, the picturesque Wareham Forest, the old Saxon town of Wareham and its walls, the wild Purbeck Heaths, and the beautiful sands of Studland Beach.
The event is named after Harry Paye who was born around 1360 and died in 1419.
In-between, he was a pirate and an adventurer.
From his hometown of Poole...Old Harry sailed far and wide
in search of treasure and glory to bring back home.
(To this day the people of Poole celebrate Harry Paye day every year.)
Run or walk 55km for your own treasure and glory...
