The Christmas Caper is a challenging off-road event including some difficult terrain. Depending on the weather, the course may include wading through deep water, avoiding branches and tiptoeing through deep mud. It’s great fun, but please ensure you have the required level of fitness to complete the course. Some walking is expected but please remember this is a run not a walk and we reserve the right to withdraw runners from the race who have not made sufficient progress through checkpoints. Trail shoes are recommended.

Fancy dress optional but encouraged!

Booking details:  Entry is available in advance here at £18 Unaffiliated/£16 Affiliated (plus non-refundable booking fee taken by RaceNation).  Online registration closes on 20th December at midday.  No on the day entries available this year.

Race number and chip collection will be from Race HQ (near the start/finish) on the day.

Please note that number transfers will only be possible through this site and before the closing date for online entries.

EVENT ADDRESS:  Torrington Rugby Club, Donnacroft Fields, Hatchmoor Rd, Torrington, EX38 7BU. (Parking almost opposite and at the School car park off Hatchmoor Rd.)

Registration/number collection starts at 9.30 am.  Race start time 11.00 am.

Minimum age on the day is 17 years.

Showers should be available post-race and Torrington Rugby Club are kindly providing bar facilities.

Race Categories and prizes:

Female and Male Top 3 overall, Vet Female and Male 40+, 50+, 60+, prize for first in each category, gun time.  One prize per person so if you're in the top 3 overall and also a Vet, you'll receive the top 3 prize and the Vet category prize will go to the next runner in that category.

Prize for best fancy dress.
