Location and facilities
The race is based at Avon Valley (Bitton) Railway station, postcode BS30 6HD
Bib numbers
To be collected from the registration desk on the day of the race. Registration opens at 18:30. There will be the option to sign up on the night, both cash and card are accepted.
Parking
Free parking is available at the station, though this is a shared public space so please be considerate. We would encourage you to car share, cycle or use public transport. as much as possible Please follow the signs and the directions of the marshals. If the car park becomes full then please show consideration for local residents when parking.
Toilets
Toilets can be found at the station. There are no toilets on the course. Please ONLY use the toilets provided. Anybody caught relieving themselves outdoors will be disqualified.

Baggage
There are no baggage drop off facilities for this race.
Headphones
The use of bone conducting headphones will be permitted, but devices that go in the ear or cover the ear will not be allowed (unless medically prescribed). You must be able to hear and follow marshal instructions.
Pre-race warm up and start
Runners are not allowed to warm up on the public roads. Please use the cycle paths to warm up. Marshals will direct runners towards the start line before the 19:30 start.
The course
The route, a certified 5k flat out and back on a tarmac cycle path. Please keep to the left throughout and obey all marshal instructions. There will be a lead cyclist and marshals throughout the course. If you require assistance please contact any marshal. Please note, we do not have sole use of the path so please be courteous to other users.
Water stations
There are no water stations, however water will be available at the finish. Runners are encouraged to bring their own hydration in reusable containers.
Wheelchair athletes
Due to the race being held on a narrow path it is deemed not suitable for wheelchair athletes.

At the finish
You will find water available as soon as you’ve crossed the finish line. To avoid congestion please keep moving along into the Finish Area, where water and a sweet treat will await you.
Transfers/deferrals/refund policy
Person-to-person transfers of race entries are permitted but must be done following the process set out on the RaceNation website. All online person-to-person transfers must have been completed by 18:00 the day before the race. Transfers completed after this date will not be accepted. We understand that life can sometimes get in the way, so this year we will be allowing you the option to defer to any of the 5k races remaining this year. To action this please refer to your ticket on the race nation website. The safety of all runners is paramount. In the unlikely event a cancellation is necessary, you will be informed as early as possible. We will also publish this information on our instagram and Facebook page. Unfortunately entry refunds will not be possible in the event of race cancellation (including COVID-related), as many of the race expenses will have been incurred. Furthermore no refunds will be given for illness, injury or other reasons.

Non-affiliated runners: £12
Please note that all runners must be 11 or older on the day of the race. Anyone under the age of 16 will require consent from a parent/guardian.

Any runner breaking the course record will receive a pair of running shoes courtesy of our partner Kinisi Run Hub.
